This is just one of the many questions Janice challenges you with as you sweat your way through 90 minutes of her no nonsense Bikram yoga class. Janice’s firm but gentle admonishments help you to connect with your breath, to listen to and respect your body, and before you know it, to take your yoga practice to a level you never believed was possible. It’s all about the breath, and trusting in Janice’s encouraging dialogue that gives you the confidence to go deeper.

In 2004, Janice became a Bikram certified instructor and has inspired a dedicated following of yogis throughout Toronto ever since. To complement her Bikram practice, Janice is certified in Ashtanga Yoga, Children’s Yoga, Hot Vinyasa Flow, Meditation, and Thai Massage, and—you have to ask her about this one—she has even walked on fire! Mind over matter, connect with the breath, challenge yourself to be your personal best. It’s what Janice Guertin is all about.
